My project

I am Italian singer-guitarist and songwriter who has been working in the musical field for more than ten years, teaching, performing and promoting musical events.Mostly involved in folk music, Irish, Balkan and other traditions, I have been perfoming for years with different bands troughout Italy, France, Portugal and Ireland, when I decided to go back to my original compositions-songs and in 2009 I moved to London, to continue with jazz studies and promoting my original repertoire.

I played my songs in some of the best folk-music clubs in London (Cobden Club, Icarus Folk Club, Troubadour Club (4 times), Café de Paris, Spice of life, Troy Bar, Luna Lounge, Proud Galleries in Camden (6 times), Oliver's jazz bar, The Gallery Cafè (4 times), Jamboree venue,Bar Music Hall, Bar Vinyl in Camden etc.) and all over Italy.

My repertoire is composed of songs (mostly in italian but also english), influenced by bossa nova rhythms, swing and folk-pop with large use of impro and some jazz arrangements.

I just recorded my second EP in London (Travelling), all original songs in english and italian, with a quintet of musicians: beyond me on vocal and guitar on the album: Nick Walters on Trumpet, Francesco Lo Castro steel and nylon string guitar, Gerry Hunt on steel string guitar, Jack Lowe double Bass, Carlos Fuentes drums, Federico Rios hand percussion. recorded and mixed in London, august-december 2011 by mariano Nunez West.

Cd launch in January 2012, performing at Palazzo Santa Chiara theatre in Rome, Lanuvio public Library, Radio TSR, Calcata (Vt). I had a few gigs in London in march 2012, promoting the new EP with the whole quintet (gallery JAzz Café, Bar Vinyl, Proud Galleries, street life radio..)
